Well, it's that time again, my organization has to pick the "Best Sunday Sermon," for 9-28-2025. Well, I'll tell ya, I was gonna pick my Pastor friend from New York again, until I heard his entire message.

I mean, he would not let up on his condemnation of "The disciple whom Jesus loved."

Anyway, he was so harsh in his remarks that I had to disqualify him for the week.

Of course, you know I am kidding, I hope.

No, nonetheless, as good as it was, I am giving the prize to an "Alpha" candidate from a church in London that I often visit online.

This week the prize goes to "Sassy," for the "Best Sunday Sermon," online for 9-28-2025.

This woman had an amazing testimony, and I just wanted to show how that the sacrificial offerings of both Charlie Kirk and his wife will have changed so many people's lives.

Also, "The speakers from last week, along with all of those who contributed to the Memorial service, which was hosted last Sunday for Charlie Kirk, will have also changed multitudes around the world in how they perceive Christianity."

And although, this woman didn't directly mention the Memorial, it is of no consequence because there were "others," all over the world who through the "Spoken Word," by many speakers which some were only politicians (or so they thought) were changed for the rest of their lives.

Yes, for twenty-four hours, God had given each one of you the opportunity to share in a much nobler call. I just pray that you can all appreciate this, as you go back to your other lives and careers.

Doesn't that just force you to feel, "The living heartbeat of Jesus?"

Once again, "Thank you guys," all of you from the people working parking to every other area.

The world has been made a better place because the gospel was selflessly preached.

I believe that the "Vicar" called the young woman, "Sassy," nevertheless, if you don't have time for the whole service, I believe that the index number was 52, when she begins her testimony.

(Her testimony of the "Alpha course, is very similar to the "Life in the Spirit," courses, normally sponsored by either the Catholic Church or some other more Independent Charismatic churches.)

I would highly recommend either one if you wish to know more of Christianity.

Life in the Spirit and Alpha Courses!

AI Overview

"Life in the Spirit" courses, also known as the Life in the Spirit Seminars (LSS), are offered by individual Catholic parishes and retreat centers, as well as online through international charismatic organizations. There is no single central location for all courses, so you must check with specific organizations and dioceses.

In-person courses

Because the courses are offered locally, locations change frequently and seminars are scheduled throughout the year. For current options, search for "Life in the Spirit" seminars near you or check the following parish and retreat center websites:

Life in the Spirit Seminar (retreat center in Ohio): Hosted at the Spiritual Center of Maria Stein and Montezuma Retreat Center.

St. Francis de Sales (Burnaby, BC, Canada): Hosted a seminar in 2025.

St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (Murfreesboro, TN): Hosted seminars in 2024, listed on the Pentecost Today website.

St. Thomas More Catholic Church (Arlington, VA): Has a page dedicated to the Life in the Spirit Seminar.

Online courses

Online courses provide a flexible way to participate.

CHARIS International: This service for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal offers an updated "New Life in the Spirit Seminar" online for free, though donations are accepted.

Pentecost Today USA: Provides access to several formation videos and resources on its website.

Allen Hood Online: Offers an evergreen, self-paced "Intimacy with the Holy Spirit" course.

How to find courses near you

Contact your local Catholic diocese: Many dioceses, such as the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette, LA, list upcoming seminars on their websites.

Check with local parishes: Since seminars are often parish-based, inquire at a Catholic church in your area.

Use the Pentecost Today USA event search: Pentecost Today, the U.S. branch of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, provides information on charismatic events.

Search for retreats: Many seminars are held as weekend retreats at Catholic retreat centers, such as those hosted by Presentation Ministries in Peebles, OH.

AI Overview

Alpha courses are not confined to a single location but are run by various Christian denominations and organizations across the United States. They can be found in churches, homes, universities, workplaces, and prisons.

The best way to find a course near you is to use the official Alpha USA search tool.

How to find an Alpha course in the US

Use the Alpha USA course finder: Visit the official website at finder.alphausa.org.

Enter your location: Type in your city or address to see courses within a 50-250 mile radius.

Filter your search: You can narrow your search by:

Format: In-person or online

Context: Specific to Catholic communities, youth, or other groups

Schedule: Days of the week

Language: English, Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese

Examples of Alpha course settings

In-person: Courses are often run in local churches. For example, in Houston, courses have been offered at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church.

Online: Many courses offer a hybrid or fully online format, allowing you to join a group from anywhere.

Specialized contexts: Alpha is also offered in specific environments such as prisons and youth ministries.

Local groups: Courses can also be hosted in smaller settings like homes or cafes.

Lastly,

You know, I am always so anxious to do things to get them out of the way, that there are times when I feel as if I should have waited. Such was the case today, I went ahead and "Awarded," the "Best Sunday Sermon," at approximately four PM, but then later visited another church service.

Well, I don't want to take away from the other two competitors, but this guy would have been in the "running," to walk away with the Award had I not waited a little longer before judging.

So, what I have decided to do is to create a new "Award," and I am going to call this one, "The Most Sensitive Sunday Sermon of the Week."

Now, this is going to be for the "Preacher" which is the most cognitively 'Aware,' of the 'sensitivity' in which their congregants ears, are considered and taken into account.

And so, without further ado, the prize for, "The Most Sensitive Sunday Sermon of the Week."

goes to Daniel Kolenda, Pastor of Christ for all Nations, in Orlando, FL.

***

You know, I have mostly only followed "Spirit Filled Preachers," as the worst thing that a believer can do is to get too close to an individual whether he is a preacher, leader or lay leader who is against the belief in, "The Baptism of the Holy Ghost," or what the Methodists call, "Entire Sanctification."

You see, there is a strange phenomenon that happens when many "Preachers," get together. For some reason they all want to get together in order to argue "Theological," questions.

Well, it's never made sense to me, so that is one of the main reasons why I have always kept my distance from many of them.

I mean, if you know that there are many men who just can't wait to argue theology with other men, then why would you ever want to fellowship with those who you know are already to "gnash their teeth," at you because you believe in "Speaking in tongues?"

My goodness, I can barely keep up with most Preachers who are supposed to be on my side, and who have the same background, belief system, like mindedness, or of a similar attitude toward religion, though many times, you find out that they don't. But, for some reason none of them like me anyway?

I mean, we could be twin brothers, yet I wouldn't turn my back on any of them.

Nonetheless, every once in a while, I will venture over into uncharted waters and to listen to one of them which I have heard can be a stickler on Theology.

So, my last 'Preacher' of the night is this guy, John Piper, well, if I am not mistaken, I thought that I had read one of his books maybe thirty years ago and never found an issue with it. Nonetheless, over the years, I had heard about him having theological issues with certain people. I believe much of it dealt with his Calvinist beliefs.

Well, tonight I heard the man speak for the first time about heaven and I couldn't find one thing which I would disagree with. In fact, he was sharing much of what I have shared on my various web sites. He talked about there being 'no time,' in heaven, about the angels as separate beings, about the unbelievable aroma of incense or smell from the throne room. He mentioned "Music," as being unexplainable in Earthly terms, and yet it being the most beautiful music that anyone has ever heard on Earth.

There were other things which God has allowed me to see, while still remaining on Earth, (well, perhaps in only one shoe or foot on the ground,) but we were very much on the same page throughout his sermon.

Nevertheless, I recalled just last week reading in some Christian rag magazine or other, that John Piper and this other preacher had elevated some argument up to that level where the gossipists had to report it.

So, I googled a question and asked something like, "What are the issues in which John Piper is at odds about with other preachers?"

So, I got my answers but didn't like the issues.

I don't know if any of you have read my answers or comments on something that I know is going to be controversial, but I normally follow the statement with a "Disclaimer."

I will simply just say, "Please understand I am not making such a statement or relating a story as a "Theological Stand." I am not writing this as gospel, I am in no way interested in proving the point, I am simply telling you or giving my opinion on what I believe.

Then I might say, "Go and find one of a hundred who are willing and able to argue it out with you.

Well, so what are you saying John, that the church should abandon all questions or stands on "Theology?"

No, what I am saying is that for many of us God has given us a mission to preach what he has placed in our laps, therefore, why would I want to whittle the little time that I have left in this world to argue with a bunch of "argumentative fools," who actually have never read the "Word of God,' else they wouldn't get involved in such nonsensical arguments.

I am not concerned with what Calvin believed, yet I have my own opinion. I am not concerned with the fact that some say, "You can't speak in tongues unless you are in a church service and the Angel Gabriel has to first give you permission."

I know what I believe so I couldn't give a donkey's rear end for what you believe concerning my "speaking in tongues."

AI Overview

The Apostle Paul talked about avoiding senseless debates and quarrels in 2 Timothy 2:23-26 and Titus 3:9.

In 2 Timothy, he instructs Timothy to "avoid foolish and ignorant speculations, for they breed quarrels" and that a servant of the Lord should not be quarrelsome but gentle.

In Titus, Paul advises Titus to "avoid foolish debates, genealogies, quarrels, and disputes about the law, because they are unprofitable and worthless".

2 Timothy 2:23-26: Paul explicitly tells Timothy to stay away from "stupid and senseless arguments" because they only lead to trouble.

He adds that God's servants should not be troublemakers but should be kind, patient, and good teachers.

Titus 3:9: Paul tells Titus to avoid "foolish debates, genealogies, quarrels, and disputes about the law" because they are "unprofitable and worthless". This was in the context of dealing with false teachers on Crete.

1 Timothy 6:4: Paul also addresses a similar issue in 1 Timothy, where he says that those who "quibble about words" and have an unhealthy desire to argue are conceited and lack understanding, which can stir up jealousy, quarrels, and suspicion.

Anyway, I am plum out of Awards," except for this one for the "Least Argumentative Sunday Sermon," so I guess the guy is just going to have to deal with that one, although he probably deserves a much better one?

Great Testimony!

Link:      https://youtu.be/bqxtFUwM3-o?list=RDbqxtFUwM3-o

You know, I am sitting here trying to get in a mood where I feel comfortable going to sleep for the night. Sometimes, you get in the "Spirit," and it is almost like a 'high,' where you can't come down.

But as I was sitting here meditating or just trying to relax, I was reminded of an encounter that I once had with a Baptist Pastor. I think that it was in Mobile, but could have been somewhere else, though I seem to recall Alabama.

Anyway, I pass by this guy's church, and he was standing outside the church. Well, I forget how the conversation got started, but soon we were talking about the Lord, and I gave my testimony.

Well, I never give my testimony though without telling the second half of it, how after I was "Born Again," a few years later I had an experience where I received the "gift of tongues." I always have told the whole story and have never deviated from the "Truth."

You see, I was "born again," where my spirit was made new, but I was never made free from the bondages of this life, until I received the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

So, being honest with the guy I shared that part of the story and then I told him that I "knew that many Baptists frown on the experience or practice."

Well, this PASTOR of a Baptist Church says to me, "Well, yes you are correct, but there are a lot of Baptist and even Pastors who secretly have received the same experience.

Well, I was sort of dumbfounded, but not really, people do the craziest things and call it "honest Christianity."

And so, I say to the guy, "Are you telling me that you speak in tongues?"

He says, "Yes, every day I go into my little Prayer closest and speak ten or fifteen minutes a day in "Tongues."

This was like maybe fifteen years ago or so, but I was shocked out of my system.

I say to him, "Well, then why don't you preach about that to your congregation, why don't you tell your congregation that you speak in tongues.

I swear, although I shouldn't be doing that, but he looked at me as if I just fell off some turnip truck on the way to the Farmer's Market.

Next, he gave me this look, as if I was the stupidest Christian that he had ever met in his life, and he replies, sort of angrily, "AHHHH, I can tell, you don't know anything about either 'the ministry,' or 'the Church."

Then he says to me, "Why if I did that I would be kicked out of the Church before they even had time to assemble the "Board."

I lie not!

I am telling you the "gospel truth."

So, in other words, this guy goes into his "Prayer Closet," prays maybe fifteen minutes a day in tongues to the Father and Jesus, and then when he gets to heaven or when Jesus returns, he imagines that he is going to be welcomed with open arms?

Matthew 7:22-23   New Living Translation

22 On judgment day many will say to me, 'Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.' 23 But I will reply, 'I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God's laws.'

Luke 9:26    New Living Translation

26 If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels.

Good night, maybe!

Told you, ......But it is like a guy going into work each day at a bank and finding a crack in the brick where hundred-dollar bills keep falling through from the Safe on the other side of the wall. So, for years, he selfishly sticks these in his pocket every day and doesn't tell a soul or report the error to the bank.

I don't know, there are a hundred better analogies, but I don't have the time.

Can you understand what I am trying to say though?

This is the "American concept of ministry" as related from the intentions of the Bible to be taught????

No wonder the whole world is NUTZ!
